You Are Building Your Future With Every Breath

What you're doing today is inhaling everything around you, inhaling energy, inhaling imagery, and as we do this, we are creating our tomorrow.
What we're inhaling becomes the exhale that shows up for us weeks or months from now, sometimes years from now. It's really important, especially as things are in such turmoil, to pay close attention to what you're inhaling, what you're allowing your eyes to receive, what you're allowing to go on in inside of your heart.
When we're not paying attention to that weeks from now, we're confused as to why the things we've been striving to create are not appearing. But that's because weeks prior, we weren't paying attention to what kind of fuel we were using to build our future. So we can use the fuel of inspiration. We can look, even if we have to look hard to find moments of beauty and absorb the power of the beautiful.
Speak about it, write about it, create with it. Then, a few weeks, months, or years from now, what appears in your life by then, you may think it's an accident or a miracle, but in fact, it happened on this day and yesterday and the yesterday and tomorrow. We're doing it in every single breath we take. And if things are gonna get better, we have to be grownups about it.
We have to take adult responsibility for what's happening in us, within us, around us in every breath. Some, whenever I say things like this, someone will always say, but sometimes I'm tired. It's okay to be tired. I'm tired right now.
But you can look for and find creative ways to, even in your tiredness, even in your worry, to rest your eyes on beauty. If you feel the need to contemplate the future, do it from a place of solutions-focused energy.
Do it from a place of gazing outdoors and focusing on the way the light is hitting the trees. Do it from a space of things. Looks pretty bad right now.
I wonder how I can contribute to shifting this energy.
I wonder where my power is right now and how do I access it, and how do I apply it to what I'm concerned about?
So it's not that life stops lifeing, it's not that things don't catch our attention that are giant bummers. What changes is, what we do with the raw materials that are right in front of us.
Do we need to change the raw materials?
Do we need to get off of social media?
Take a break?
Do we need to really dig into social media and see what people are saying and then decide, okay, what do I wanna do with this?
If I go out on social media and I see a lot of screaming and yelling and fighting and things, I can be drawn into that, I can inhale it, or I can say, wow, okay, let me get into a grounded space.
First of all, is this serving me to be looking at what I'm looking at? Is this something I really need to be doing? Do I really need this knowledge and this awareness?
Second of all, if I do need it, if there's something here for me, let me get really grounded and present in my body and activate the power of my heart so that what I'm seeing is transformed into energy, into energy for me, instead of draining the life force out of me and ending me up on the couch as a bouncing baby broccoli for the rest of the day, we get to choose.
We get to exercise our power. It's not that you have to avoid things; it's how do you enter the breach? How do you wade into the fray? Or how do you take a break?
Awareness is the bottom line of all of this. If we're aware of where we are, we can consciously choose where we're going.
