In the generally live unconsciousness of our daily lives, our minds become a garden of thoughts—some flourishing, while others wither and wilt, and some make the whole garden stink to high Heaven. It's essential to create a space where we can tend to our mental garden, nurturing it consciously and planting seeds for a brighter future. In the process of manifesting money or anything else, understanding this process is critical.
Picture this: a garden where you can shed the weight of your burdens, both big and small. Imagine a space where you can release your anger, frustrations, and negativity. This is your compost pile—an area to dump what weighs you down, allowing room for growth and rejuvenation.
You can bitch, moan, whine, and get your mean girl on with a vengeance.
Let your acidic, darkest thoughts and feelings about money flow freely in this sacred space of compassionate curiosity. Express them through speech, writing, or even dance - let them be as ugly and distorted as they want to be.
How do you feel about money? Those who have it when you don’t? Those who have more than they could ever spend but don’t help others? Those who spend it on spaceships while children go hungry? Write about how no matter how much you have, you don’t feel safe with money - it might abandon you. You might lose it all, and then what?
Write and write and write some more about all things money.
Express and allow until the heavy energy naturally begins to transform into a lighter essence, like compost, turning into fertile soil through radical acceptance of just how horrid you can be when no one’s looking.
Once you've emptied your mental compost, it's time to focus on the seeds—the words. Each word is a seed, carrying the potential to sprout into something more, seeding the energetic field around you with tiny but powerful intentions. Just as acorns become mighty oaks and pips grow into fruitful lemons, the words you speak and write plant the seeds of your future.
Now, let's talk about composting and planting consciously. It's crucial to discern which words belong in the compost pile and which ones you want to plant for the future. Embrace both with equal honor and recognition, but plant and tend only those you want to amplify, to grow, to bear fruit. The words you discard and the words you choose to nourish and cultivate are essential in manifesting your desires.
Imagine two distinct spaces—one for composting and one for planting. In your compost journal or a voice memo, gather all the words that no longer serve you, those you wish to let go of, allowing them to transform and enrich the soil of your Story Garden.
In your planting journal or voice memo, carefully select the words that resonate with your goals, dreams, and aspirations. These are the seeds you want to nurture, for they hold the power to grow into the reality you envision.
Planting Seeds
What seeds do you plant about money, and how crystal clear can you be?
"I want money, so I don’t feel and never am poor is not a good seed to plant. Why? Because you’re pushing against “poor.”
I want this because I don’t want that shit over there.
I want more of this because once upon a time, I didn’t have enough, and (deep down) I’m scared that will happen again - not a good seed to plant.
I want money so I can help people - iffy. Do you have to help people so you can feel good about having money? This can be a subtle sneak attack that tangles your energy.
Discern if someone can benefit from your help. If they’re really ready for help. Take your time before donating your bounty right back out the door because sometimes — the urge to help is covering the urge to get yourself back into the Familiar Bad Feeling Place of Not Enough Money.
When you’re help is “clean,” then the people receiving it thrive fully from your overflow.
Working the Process
By consciously embracing this process, you'll start to see how separating the compost from the seeds can free you from being stuck. You're essentially creating room for deliberate growth, channeling your energy into what truly matters.
In the garden of your mind, tend to it with love and intention every single day. Cultivate a conscious word garden, and watch as the spoken and written seeds you plant flourish into a beautiful future. Remember, you have the power to shape your destiny through the words you choose to compost and the ones you choose to plant.
Start practicing this as soon as you can. This process has come out of my course Train Your Body to Wealth, and also, there is an upcoming workshop available on Nov 1st if you’d like to practice in a group for one evening. That said, you don’t need anyone else - just you and your journal and/or art supplies.
Enjoy this exploration, and happy gardening!
