The missing bit of many people’s marketing is in the client conversation. Numbers are down for those relying on ads or social posts to enroll.
The reason is that the days of buying coaching straight from a post or ad are over. Without a conversation with the person running the course, we’re far less likely to whip out our credit cards. People are tired of signing up for things and getting screwed over - I know I am.
This post from October 10, 2024, is my attempt to address our hesitation to talk to people in the DMs. The original post and some awesome comments are here.
You were treated like you were a burden and a bother by the adults.
You were met with impatience and annoyance when you expressed a need or wanted to share a worry or just a story.
You were a child and had no choice but to internalize that and try not to bother the people around you for survival's sake.
You're not a child anymore.
Stop avoiding reaching out to tell people about your services for fear you're bothering or upsetting them.
Stop assuming no one wants to hear what you have to offer before you even speak.
Your potential clients aren't your parents.
Next up from the same day (I had a lot to say that day, lol!) is the idea that marketing is gross or bad somehow. Shitty marketing is gross and bad, but you don’t have to do shitty marketing!
Marketing is Not Evil; it's Essential.
Mindset alone is not enough.
Embodiment alone is not enough.
Action alone is not enough.
Below is the Holy Trinity of marketing for purpose-led businesses.
Mindset for believability
WITH
Embodiment for nervous system capacity
WITH
Action for tangible results like moolah in the bank.
No marketing = no sustainable business.
And you can do it however you want as long as you build in all 3 components.

Make a list of everything you could do that people would pay you for.
Get ridiculous with it.
Coaching.
Writing.
Slinging drugs.
Marketing.
Copywriting.
Detailing cars.

Go through your list and pick out the reasonable ones. Although selling feet pics on OnlyFans is an option, we both know you won't do that.
Take your list of reasonable ones and do this >>
Strike-through the ones you hate doing.
Strike-through any that you're doing just for the income. Chances are you have a few left on your list, especially if you're a multi-potentialite.
So, now do this >>
Imagine I just told you that you can't do any of them. You're not allowed. You'll get fined. Straight to jail with you. Which one would you fight me for? >>
Which one would you go underground to do still?
Which one would you teach under the hedges, risking your safety to still engage in?
Which one would you gather in abandoned buildings with other "criminals" to still talk about?
That's the one you build a business on. You don't need to worry about an ideal client avatar who watches 90 Day Fianceè UK Edition, buys Blue Buffalo dog food, works as a nurse, or does whatever else BS details you've been told to figure out. >>
You need to know the topic you're most passionate about. The one you're willing to threaten others with, "catch these hands," over. When you make that one top priority - even though you'll have another one or two that come up in your business - the ONE will keep you going. >>
You need marketing, but you also need the magic of your own passion.
A lit-up person in action doing the thing that lights them up where other people can see them in process is mighty magnetic. Try it and see what happens. >>
P.S. If you're a Human Design Projector, this can make or break your business. You can't afford to do things you aren't energized by!
Do What You Love and Support Yourself Financially

Last year, I sold an $18k 1:1 package.
Sold another one this year.
Sold them by mentioning I had one space open for six months of intense work.
Guess what I was mentoring them on...intuition & psychic-mediumship skills development.
Don't tell me you can't do what you love and make money.
BUT
This is where energy matters.
I created that package because it was a great package for me! I wanted to guide people through it.
I wanted to be very available and employ all the things I love - teaching, marketing, intuition, holding space, distance Forest Reiki® energy work, navigating multiple dimensions, sending hand-picked gifts and books, etc., in service to someone else.
I offered it from a purely selfish-service orientation.
Do what you love and the money will follow ONLY works when you are super clear and totally unattached.
