We daydream, make vision boards, take a thousand courses and plan for success. These things do work if you do the work needed to match what you're trying to manifest.
So, what happens when things start to show up?
Is your Happiness Threshold high enough to sustain the new abundance? What happens if your body’s nervous system isn't trained to handle so much goodness?
There's a part of you that revels in ruining your achievements.
When we forget to have a chat with Officer Safety who lives deep in our system and we go rattling cages with more money, more love, losing weight, a dream house, Officer Safety jumps into action.
Change means Different and Different equals Deadly and Officer Safety ain't about to let you die! Immediately the money is disappeared, the binge eating is back, or the dream house falls apart.
It's not complicated at all to factor this part of you into the change equation. When you plan and communicate all along the way, self-sabotage, which is really self-safety-seeking, is eliminated or minimized.
Make your vision board and then ask the part(s) who do NOT want change to talk to you. You can journal, paint, talk out loud, do the old chair exercise and let that part “talk”, etc.
Remind yourself frequently that when things get good you can always go back to “safe”. When you give yourself permission to NOT change, it often makes change faster and easier.
Amplify awareness of disturbances/discomfort in your body while you stretch into your dreams coming true.
We're often afraid that if we face Shadow we'll never get what we want, but by not facing it you still don't have what you want so…you've got nothing to lose by trying this out!
